A Unified Model for Neurodivergent Education
Amanah Therapeutic Academy is a private school designed to support neurodivergent learners through a structured, integrated, and faith-centered approach — where education and therapy function as a single, cohesive system.
The Texas private school environment gives Amanah the flexibility to embed clinical services — including Nutrition, SLP, Occupational Therapy, and behavioral support — directly into the school day.
Structured & Individualized
Each learner receives a tailored plan adapting to their neurological profile and developmental goals.
Therapy-Integrated Curriculum
OT, SLP, and behavioral support woven into every school day — no silos, no extra appointments.
Hybrid Texas School
Serving neurodivergent families with an environment built for consistency, predictability, and measurable growth.
What We Are Building
A structured, supportive, and culturally grounded environment where neurodivergent learners build confidence, regulation, and independence.
Unlike traditional schools, we believe children thrive in structured, predictable environments with integrated support. Our approach aligns education, behavioral support, and character development — because consistency and coordination lead to better outcomes.
Students who attend Amanah will leave with increased confidence and independence, prepared for daily life and continued learning through developed regulation, communication skills, and effective engagement.
Our school community is built on the values of consistency, compassion, integrity, and accountability — expressed through clear expectations, structured routines, respectful relationships, and a shared commitment to every child's growth.
What We Stand On
Tap each value to learn how it shapes our school.
Consistency is the cornerstone of Amanah's approach. Neurodivergent learners thrive when they know what to expect — from daily schedules to staff interactions and behavioral expectations.
- Predictable daily schedules and structured transitions
- Clear, consistent expectations across all staff
- Regular family updates to reinforce routines at home
We lead with empathy — for the child, for the parent, and for the process. Every interaction at Amanah is grounded in patience and understanding.
- Trauma-informed, empathy-led staff practices
- Non-punitive behavior support systems
- Family-inclusive care — parents are partners, not bystanders
Integrity means we do what we say. We are transparent with families about progress, challenges, and decisions. Our practices are grounded in evidence, not convenience.
- Transparent reporting and honest progress reviews
- Evidence-based instructional and therapeutic methods
- Ethical decisions that center the child's best interests
We hold ourselves to measurable outcomes — not vague intentions. Progress is tracked, reviewed, and shared. When something isn't working, we adjust.
- Data-driven IEP tracking and goal monitoring
- Regular parent review sessions with clear metrics
- Adaptive planning when strategies need adjustment
Three Pillars, One Coordinated System
Texas-aligned curriculum (TEKS-based) delivered through multi-sensory, structured literacy and numeracy instruction, with differentiated pacing and assistive technology embedded throughout.
- TEKS-aligned structured literacy and numeracy
- Multi-sensory instruction methods tailored per learner
- Individualized learning plans reviewed regularly
- Assistive technology integrated into daily instruction
- Differentiated pacing — children move at their own rate
Therapy at Amanah is embedded into the school day — not a pull-out appointment. Licensed clinicians work alongside teachers so children receive support within their natural learning environment.
- Occupational Therapy (OT) — sensory and motor regulation
- Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) — communication and AAC
- Behavioral support — positive, antecedent-based strategies
- Nutritional guidance via Registered Dietitian expertise
- Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) woven into daily routines
Principles of trust, patience, and consultation guide every student interaction and community norm — creating a respectful, values-driven environment that welcomes children of all backgrounds.
- Trust — relationships built on reliability and honesty
- Patience — learners are met where they are, always
- Consultation — student voice and family partnership honored
- Inclusive values framework welcoming all backgrounds
Built for Children Who Learn Differently
Children on the autism spectrum thrive in structured, predictable environments with sensory-aware design and clear expectations. We provide tailored support that honors their unique learning styles and communication preferences.
We support children with ADHD through movement-integrated learning, frequent transitions, and executive function coaching to build organization and self-regulation skills in a high-engagement environment.
Our literacy instruction is grounded in Orton-Gillingham methods delivered by certified specialists. We use multi-sensory, structured approaches that work with dyslexic learning patterns.
We embed assistive technology and alternative output methods from day one, allowing children with dysgraphia and dyscalculia to demonstrate knowledge without the barrier of fine motor or mathematical notation challenges.
Our embedded speech-language pathology services include AAC (augmentative and alternative communication) support, helping children develop communication skills in natural, integrated ways throughout the school day.
We create low-arousal, sensory-aware spaces and train all staff to recognize and respond to sensory needs. Predictable routines and calm spaces help anxious and sensory-sensitive learners feel safe and regulated.
Gifted learners with co-occurring challenges (2e) receive advanced curriculum alongside targeted support for their learning differences, ensuring both intellectual growth and skill-building in areas of challenge.
Families without a formal diagnosis are welcome. We assess and support from day one, providing structured, personalized learning while families pursue formal evaluation if desired.
About Kaysha Jones
I built this school to bring education, therapy, and behavioral support together under one roof — so that children can truly grow and succeed.
Kay (Kareemah) Jones is the Founder and Director of Amanah Therapeutic Academy. A Registered Dietitian with experience across multidisciplinary healthcare and behavioral settings, she founded Amanah to address a critical gap: families navigating disconnected systems — school, therapy, and behavioral services — without a cohesive structure to support their child.
Her clinical background gave her a deep understanding of how clinical, behavioral, and environmental factors impact a child's ability to learn, regulate, and thrive. She created Amanah to bring these elements into one aligned environment where education and therapeutic support function as a unified system.
Her vision: a school where children develop independence, regulation, and confidence through predictable routines, individualized support, and a team-based approach. Committed to an environment grounded in consistency, compassion, and accountability — one that supports not only the child, but the entire family.
